The copper and brass fan is inspired by the geometric shapes and symbols of a Native American Sand Painting.
The inner strand (49 stringing wire) becomes two rows of root beer seed beads between smoky quartz rondelles.
I created 3 various strands of beads using 3 different techniques to represent diversity and unity: one strand is hand-knotted silk, another is 49 strand stringing wire, and one is made of rosary links.
The pink CZ and pink leather dream catcher are the "spirit bead" of the necklace -- a stand out bead representing honor for the Great Spirit, and our imperfection as humans. It is through the Spirit Bead that good dreams are captured.
